Bendigo is located in the state of Victoria in Australia. The city is famous for its rich history and heritage and also for the pristine landscape. The regional city of Bendigo falls within the county of Greater Bendigo. This city was established in the year 1851 when gold was discovered in this area. Bendigo is just ninety minutes from the Melbourne International Airport and it takes about two hours from the main city via Calder Freeway. There is also a super fast railway service to this city. As the city is located in the centre of south eastern part of the country it is easy to access it.

The best time to visit the city is during the Bendigo Easter festival when the city comes to life with several carnivals, parades and exhibitions.
